From Hillydilly.com:
"We’ve noticed that, in the past, new artists have tended to produce more moderate premiere releases than we see today. There’s this kind of unyielding expectation of at least one “normal” track from an artist who hasn’t yet found his way into the thick of things, and with “Temper”, the Blank Brothers completely obliterate that norm.
On the effort, a heavy synth that sounds like it was taken right out of the Matrix precedes an exquisitely odd natural recording of a bustling city, and, as the recording fades, the Blank Brothers cut the ribbon and welcome us wholly to their unique musical world. Ghostly reverbed vocals trail an errorless array of percussion, with a light synth in the background keeping us some place magical where the sonic gods preside.
Now, we’re not exactly sure where brothers Jon, Conor, and Phil Blank came from, but they’ve thoroughly intrigued us with their sound to the point that we haven’t much care in the world. They’re a bunch not easily boxed in to one genre, and we’ll certainly be on the lookout for more singles and complete releases from their first album, Fade Soul, in the near future."
